Contract type: International (expatriate) assignment – fixed-term, RESIDENTIAL contract in China (9 months), followed by a 28/28 ROTATIONAL contract in Congo (24/36 months). You will be required to relocate for this position.
Language requirements: Proficient in English; Intermediate knowledge of French desired
At Eni, we are looking for a Process Specialist within Eni Congo S.A. in China and Congo. You will be responsible for the technological studies of the process system, process utilities, and loading facilities for the liquefaction of natural gas in the FLNG plant. You will provide timely and proactive technical support to Plant Operations to ensure their safety and integrity are fully secured. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in the energy sector and contribute to Eni's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main responsibilities:
During EPCIC / Project Phase
- Review of detailed engineering inspection and testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning deliverables.
- Participating in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, Operability & Maintainability reviews, 3D Model reviews and designing reviews workshops.
- Representing the Process discipline in FAT & SAT.
- Providing support for a smooth transition from the commissioning phase to operational phase.
- Executing the scope related to process discipline as per the OR&A plan.
- Participating in developing service contracts that are necessary for operational phase.
- Leading the development of Operator Training Simulator (OTS).
During OPERATIONS Phase
- Monitoring day-to-day plant production and performance and providing timely process support to plant operations, to secure operational integrity and maximize production.
- Monitoring plant/equipment operation: conducting trending of key process parameters and integrity operating window, initiating investigation in case of deviation in the operating condition and parameters and discussing and issuing reports with recommended actions.
- Providing the “process operating guidelines” to the Production Shift Coordinator for safe and efficient operating envelope.
- Preparing and executing scheduled tests on performance: carrying out technical studies, performing necessary process simulations, preparing test’s procedure and leading process performance test runs.
- Leading HAZOP / safety review of plant operations and designing specifications.
- Preparing and issuing procedures as needed.
- Preparing list of process simulation & design software, executing service agreements with software licensors, maintaining and upgrading software when necessary.
- Leading process scope in any possible plant de-bottlenecking exercise and/or plant expansion study.
- Leading process troubleshooting and recommending short-term and long-term actions.
- Leading investigation of plant trip and process upset, and issuing investigation reports to prevent recurrence.
- Reviewing and advising all parties concerned on the impact due to changes in feed gas composition and/or inlet conditions.
- Conducting studies related to process, both internally and through engineering companies.
- Building and maintaining an effective and cooperative working relationship with the Process licensor.
- Developing, planning and executing Process Scope of Work for shutdowns and turnarounds.
Skills and experience required:
- Chemical Engineering Degree. Master of Science and/or MBA Degree is a plus.
- Experience in Gas Plant Process, including a solid background in operations, start-up and commissioning.
- Significant assignment in design teams for Gas Plant Process.
- Experience in Process Simulation Packages and in P&IDs development and equipment specification.
- Capability in producing technical engineering reports and studies.
- Knowledge in Project Management
- BOSIET certificate and HUET.
- Proficient knowledge of English language. Intermediate knowledge of French language desired.
